How to Suggest Changes and Resolve Suggestions

In this guide, you’ll learn how to set up your Scout account and prepare your first project.

Step 1: Select Text

  • In your proposal, highlight the part of the text you want to change.
  • A floating toolbar will appear above the highlighted text.
  • Click the last option on the right, ‘Suggestion’.

Step 2: Make a Suggestion

A Make Suggestion panel will open on the right side of your writing canvas.

 

Choose one of the following:

  • Suggest ChangesReplace the selected text with your new version.
  • Delete → Mark the selected text for removal.
  • AddInsert new text immediately after the selection.

Step 3: Locate Suggestions to Review and Solve

All suggestions appear inline in the text so everyone can review them.

 

  • Green → Suggested new or added text.
  • Gray, strikethrough → Original text suggested for replacement.
  • Red, strikethrough → Text suggested for deletion.

Step 4: Accept or Reject Suggestions

  • Click directly on the highlighted text, or use the floating bubble on the right side of the canvas.
  • Review your colleague’s suggestion.
  • Choose Accept to apply the change or Reject to remove it.
  • (Optional) Add a comment to explain your decision or invite further discussion.
